Final Year Project in MMU






This is my Final Year Project (FYP) during my final year in my study of Bachelor in Multimedia (HONOURS) Virtual Reality. It is a game called Pollute Madness. It is about an alien robot trying to save the world from the toxic gas produce from the factory.

The playing method is a third person game, and player will have to go through 3 stages of different obstacle such as mazes, time attack, and moving obstacle.

3D Modeling, Realistic Rendering with Photoshop Touch up


This is a rendering that i done with the kl met model i did in 3DS max during my internship in Hijjas Kasturi Architecture firm. I then touch up using Photoshop to make it more realistic by tuning the shades and adding some minor flares.

Alice in Wonderland: Tale of the Hare

This game is actually based on the Alice in Wonderland movie. The story that i did is when the rabbit was rushing to find Alice. I was thinking that by adding the part where it did not shown in the movie was a new things.
Also, i've made it a more darker feel to suits the movie and a little bit of gothic to it.

The main intro

This is the first scene. It is when Alice first fell into the Wonderland. In this case, the rabbit is going into Alice's world from here.


This is the second scene. This is the park where Alice chance the rabbit and fell into the rabbit whole. Im my game, the rabbit start of from the rabbit whole and going to find Alice. I've altered the park into a maze to take up the level of difficulty.
There are sign boards that gives the player hint on which is the right path to choose.
Interaction
In the first scene, the player will have to find 5 keys in order to proceed to the next scene. I made a key count so that the player will know how much then get. The key itself is a mickey shaped head gold key that's spinning.

In the second scene, player will only have a specific time to go through the maze and reach the gate to Alice. This idea i get is from the story itself, because in the story, the rabbit is rushing with time and also keep on saying that it's late. So in order to follow the story, i added the time element just like my ZCar racing game

This is the game over scene if plaver did not make it in time. Player will see that the rabbit had fainted and it's hat fell off
This is the ending credit which let's the player know that it continues with Alice's story of Alice in Wonderland.

Zcar Racing

This is a racing game that i made also by using 3DS max to model and unity3d as engine.
The ZCar Racing is actually a racing game that adapted the futuristic and fantasy theme to is. Kinda like Speed Racer's world.

Interaction
I've created a race against time racing i'ce created a timer countdown and also a mini map for user to easy navigate.
The countdown timer when reach zero, the player will game over and have to start over again.
For the mini maps, it is acctually an extra camera that's following the car and viewing on above.

The is also obstacle like the spike ball to slow down the player's car
This is the scene if player cannot reach the finish line before the timer reaches zero

This is the winning scene if the player reaches the finish line before zero.
An animation of the car drifting will be played as well.

Rhinoranger

This is my first actual game that i made using 3ds max for modeling and unity3d for engine

Interaction

The first interaction is the AI turret.
The AI the i built will face the player when within range and move slowly for the player to have a chance to out run it.
If is faced, the player's health will decrease

The second interaction is the trap.
This is a simple one, i put the amount of the health to decrease when the player collided with the trap and also trigger and play the animation.

Also there are comical cut scene when player reach a certain point

Stages

The first stage is to climb up the mountain

The second stage is to get pass the turret

The third stage si to carefully go through the log bridge without falling
The forth stage is to go pass the traps
If the player's health is decreased to zero or below, the player will have to start over again.
